When you have a hankering for something sweet and chocolatey, buttery, nutty and crunchy, fruity, and that homemade taste of cinnamon and spice, you find that you remembered to fill the cookie jar. But you have to get to those tasty treats before the rest of the family does!
Sometimes I go to my daughter's house to bake and actually let my grandchildren scoop out the dough and go for it! I'm teaching them the secrets of the trade and they add some of their own "finishing touches" to their creation. They are learning how to bake, how to measure the ingredients just right, and what is the proper baking time for the perfect soft chewy cookie (sometimes they forget the time and let the cookies burn and they come out looking like little black rocks! Just the fun of being involved in the process I guess!).
After all your hard work--and your children's too--get that cookie jar full again and you can indulge in comfort in chocolate, oatmeal, butterscotch, caramel, butter pecan (Covenant Cookies & Gifts' flavors), or any flavor you choose for as long as you want! I'm with you, go for it!
Have a sweet cookie comfort day!
